We were looking for our forever coffee table. We knew what we wanted and knew the dimensions that would fit the space the best. We visited countless furniture stores, and while what they had to offer was lovely, all of the tables we looked at were not quite what we were looking for--or a "tad" to expensive. We instead opted to build a custom table and we are so happy with the end result.

The price was very affordable, we got the dimensions we wanted, and we were able to pick out the pieces of walnut we wanted to use, the configuration of the boards, the final finish, and the legs. We wholeheartedly recommend Refined Rustic Furniture for any wood project you may be thinking of.

This is a family run business that I am so happy to support. Our first visit was with Len and his wife, who were so lovely and helpful. Vanessa and Jason continued to work with us through the project and made their expertise available, which was so greatly appreciated.

Vanessa went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with the final product, and always replied promptly anytime I contacted her. This family is truly talented and we loved working with them. In fact, we ended up using them to make us a bench AND a new desk…which speaks to the quality of their craftsmanship and customer care:)

My husband and I hired Len to create a live edge dining room table for us and we couldn't be happier with the result!! Not only is it a gorgeous piece of furniture that is built to last but it is also one of a kind and will hold a special place in many family memories to come. We wanted to have a table that we could take part in creating and that's just what we got.

Len's shop is full of many different wooden slabs that we were encouraged to look through ourselves to piece together just what we wanted. We also were able to come up with what we wanted for the legs and he had them designed exactly the way we asked. Being a part of the process and coming home with a table that was uniquely ours was the best! And what a conversation piece!

Tried to support a local shop in Okotoks to build a beautiful rustic mantel for us. They gave us a two month window and then in the crunch leading into Christmas prep, they provided us with a product not remotely close to what we ordered. Frustrated, disappointed, and in a panic, we went to see Len at Refined Rustic Furniture.

He helped us design and then built such a beautiful mantel and we installed 2 days ago, less than 2 weeks after our order. Len is quite simply a pro at what he does, great attention to detail, and offers great guidance and suggestions. We couldn't be happier with our finished product. If you need anything designed for your home, check them out first. You won't be disappointed.

A cut above the rest. If you’re looking for the perfect piece, made exactly how you want, where you can be involved as much or as little as you like then this is the place. Len and Linda have created the most incredible wood shop I’ve ever seen. As a tradesman I can appreciate the flawless craftsmanship with the finest cuts of wood.

Len spent hours with me planning, selecting stunning wood and designing the perfect entranceway. I’ve uploaded the pictures of my custom walnut and cherry corner piece to demonstrate how Len can make any design work. Len and Linda are currently working on a unique Walnut space saving wall mounted table to work in a tricky spot.

I’ve already told my wife I’ll be spending a lot of time in their shop over the next year! Save yourself weekend after weekend looking for the solution and swing by the shop. You’ll get a very relaxed tour of some stunning projects at the least.
