Tigerwood is made from Goncalo Alves trees from the Brazilian Rainforest. This exquisite hard wood varies from rusty orange to reddish brown hues with a contrast of dark brown veins. It is commonly used for flooring, veneers and outdoor decks.
This hardwood is very resistant to moisture absorption, mold, fungus and decay. It’s four times harder than California Redwood with a very high density, it is naturally slip resistant making it extremely durable.
You’ll never have to worry about chemical or pesticide use with this hardwood because it naturally repels insects. Other uses for this hard wood are fine furniture, turned object, cabinetry, trays and small wood projects (knife handles, bowls, archery bows, etc.)
